Ray Jessel's "I've met a girl", an original song played in America's got Talent made me smile, and in these sad days with horrid news, one shouldn't hold such an item lightly...
Chess takes: defense should never be neglected for offence
As I was playing today, a bullette game demonstrated the principle that defense should never be neglected for offence. A second of lack of thought by my opponent made a difficult position into a definite loss. The game went like that: or if you wish to play it move by move yourself: By notation, this was a very short game: 1. d4 b6 { A40 English Defense } 2. Nf3 Bb7 3. e3 e6 4. Be2 Be7 5. O-O Nf6 6. Ne5 d5 7. f4 Nbd7 8. Nc3 Nxe5 9. fxe5 Nd7 10. Bh5 c5 11. Bxf7+ Kf8 12. Bxe6+ Ke8 13. Qh5+ g6 14. Bf7+ Kf8 15. Qh6# { White wins by checkmate. } 1-0
