Celtics choose Jalen Brown with the 2016 #3 draft pick

Just heard that the Boston Celtics have drafted Jalen Brown

Brown, who played a single college season for the Golden Bears at the University of California, Berkeley, under coach Cuonzo Martin is a great all-round player and a very intelligent and skilled young man (During his time at California, he attended Master's degree classes as a freshman for the Cultural Studies of Sport in Education and learned Spanish. They say he intends to learn three more languages by the age of 25. He was desbribed as a young man who could be deemed “too smart for the league.” But I think that what interests most basketball fans is all in the next highlight film:

But what might be even more important is this young man's work ethics. Brown said in an interview recently, "I’m a big believer that it takes 20,000 hours to be great. Kobe put in those hours. I’m trying to chase that model, that representation that Kobe laid out for us. He set a great example and I’m trying to follow."

Welcome Jalen ! May we see you fly high and take the Celtics with you. ! May it be a long, healthy and successful career for you, hopefully entirely with us, and may be see, may years down the road, your shirt retired in our halls, near championship flags you helped win! And let us not forget - may it be an interesting ride of smart, ambitious and fun basketball !
