Some science stories for March - Einstein's week, a few items regarding energy, and more

A few of the scientific news stories we saw on the web in the last month: 

• 10-year project reaches a success: scientists  finally understand how the salinosporamide A 'warhead' is created. This may very well be used to handle other cancers, as well as deseases of the immunity system and parasytic infections. 

• "Intranasal delivery of biologically active lipid messengers halts memory loss and neurodegeneration in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease."

• As the unusual cold weather bout continues an interesting article (in hebrew) explains why it is so cold: in short, the reasons for what is perhaps the coldest march ever registered in Insrael, is a high pressure system in Europe which stopped air flows from Scandinavia and the North Pole towards Europe and instead, directed them towards the middle east. 
  One has to wonder how a coldest month registry in this warming globe of ours going to impact cliamtologists theories and paradigms. 

• the importance of sleep regarding health is not a new discovery, even though data adds on all the time. and now researches claim that  efficient sleep can be a shield against neurodegenerative disease

• The Chinese Academy of Sciences in Hefei, Anhui province, claimed to have produced the strongest tungsten bulk material, saying that the manufacturing process will allow it to be employed in the most demanding applications.

• How did the tiny barrier island, of all places, become a NASA launch site? 

• Qiu Renzong, professor of philosophy at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Lei Ruipeng, a bioethicist at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, have penned a proposal exploring how to care for “CRISPR babies,” or children who have had their genes edited

• "US startup company Green Hydrogen International announced plans for a a 60GW renewable H2 project that will be powered by wind and solar. It’ll also produce clean rocket fuel for SpaceX...We see Hydrogen City becoming one of the largest H2 production centers in the world"

• a black hole? not a block hole? turns out the nearest black hole was an astronomical misdiagnosis  and while we are at it, can black holes be reversed in time ? (and become the a.k.a white holes) 
• another scientific first: scannin a brain as it handles acute stress 

• What happens in our brain immediately after death  (hebrew) : a scientist measuring a patients brain waves for a specific issue, happened to record the man's brain activity as he had a heart attack and sadly died. The intensive 30 seconds of mind activity provide a great potential for speculation.
